Giacomo Zucco (entrepreneur and educator) e Barry Smith (professor at the Università della Svizzera Italiana and at SUNY Buffalo, US) will take part at our next event in Lugano about Bitcoin, AI, and their impact on the freedom of speech and expression. Our fundamental intellectual rights, like our freedom of speech and expression, are now exceptionally under discussion, between those who request restrictions to public debates to safeguard certain social categories and those who purport pluralism as a core value for a free society. This tension is at least partially a consequence of recent technological innovations that boosted our means of communication. Two main factors are at play: cryptocurrencies and AI, potential breakthroughs for freedom and threats at the same time. The event will take place in English.
The event is organized in collaboration with LPU (Law and Politics in USI), Students For Liberty Switzerland, and Bitcoin Club.
Speakers:
Giacomo Zucco, Entrepreneur and educator, and main promoter of Lugano’s Plan ₿.
Barry Smith, Professor of philosophy and ontology at the Università della Svizzera Italiana and SUNY Buffalo, US.
